Dr. Darlonda R. Harris
Dr. Harris was born in New Orleans and is a native of Kenner, LA. She received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences in New Orleans. Dr. Harris completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Tulane University and was Chief Resident of her MedPeds program her senior year.
She is currently board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pediatrics, as well as the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Harris believes in a comprehensive approach to health that targets the mind, body, and soul. Her treatment plans are grounded in lifestyle changes and evidence-based medicine to promote total wellness.
God and family are her top priorities. When Dr. Harris is not practicing medicine, she is spending time with her husband, Sheldon Harris, and their three kids, Dylan, Victoria Rose, and Christian Harris. Their favorite hobbies are traveling and experiencing new cultures and cuisines.
